Sessions are available in-person, by video, or by phone. Video sessions take place on a secure platform that meets requirements for health-related sessions in Canada. Please see guidelines for sessions below.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and cost $160. Full payment is due at the end of each session, and can be made by e-transfer, cash, or cheque. I require 24 hours notice to change or cancel a session, except in the case of an emergency or when you are not able to attend a session due to transmissable illness. I charge the full session amount for missed sessions or sessions cancelled without 24 hours notice.
Please do not attend sessions in-person if you have been diagnosed with or suspect you might have COVID-19, or any other symptoms of transmissable illness. I also commit to rescheduling sessions or changing to video platform when I am ill. There is a HEPA air filter on at all times during sessions, and windows are often open when weather permits. There is hand sanitizer available in the office. Masks are welcome but not required, and I do not wear a mask during sessions.
The office is on located on the 3rd floor, and a staircase and elevator are available. There are gendered washrooms available on all floors in the building, and one single-stall non-gendered washroom available in the basement. I don't wear scents or use scented cleaning products in the office, but that may not be true throughout the building. Construction noise from outside can sometimes be heard in the office, and there are frequent (sometimes noisy!) pigeon visits on the windowsill.
I offer FREE initial 30 minute consultations.
Counselling is covered by some extended health plans, and I am able to accept clients covered by the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP).
I believe that counselling should be accessible to all. If you cannot afford my standard fee, please contact me to discuss other payment possibilities, or to be referred to a free or low-cost community resource. If you have additional questions or concerns about accessibility, please be in touch.
